Dr. Andrew Moon is a current gastroenterology and hepatology fellow in the clinical outcomes (epidemiology) track at the University of North Carolina. Dr. Moon has an interest in outcomes research and quality improvement with a focus on hepatic encephalopathy, hepatocellular carcinoma, and other complications of cirrhosis.

Dr. Moon earned his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University, attended medical school at the University of North Carolina, obtained a Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Carolina, and completed residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington. Dr. Moon was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society while at the University of North Carolina. In 2016, he was awarded a Medicine Resident Excellence in Teaching Award.
