Adelyn Allchin, M.P.H.

Senior Director of Public Health and Policy at the DC-based Coalition to Stop Gun Violence. With a background in veteran’s health, clinical research, and social epidemiology, Allchin evaluates evidence-based policies that improve public health. Through the Consortium for Risk-Based Firearm Policy, she collaborates with a diverse array of researchers, advocates, and mental health practitioners to develop model policies to destigmatize the association between violence and mental illness by broadening the policy focus to proven risk factors for dangerousness. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and earned a Master of Public Health with a focus in epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
