Kimberly Scott Salkey, MD (pronounced “SAL-key”, like “Sally” with a K in the middle)

Dr. Salkey received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 2002.  She completed her dermatology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in 2006.  After completing her residency, Dr. Salkey joined the faculty at EVMS where she served as an associate professor and assistant residency program director. In late 2017, Dr. Salkey returned to her alma mater and joined the faculty at VCU School of Medicine as an associate professor. Her academic interests include diseases of the hair and scalp, particularly scarring alopeciaShe serves as a local resource for patients with hair and scalp disease from across the regionShe has also been an active participant in medical student education curriculum development and has a passion for dermatologic care for indigent patients, previously attending several free or reduced cost clinics each month.  Dr. Salkey is eagerly looking forward to applying her time and talents to educate and care for the greater Richmond community.  In her free time, Dr. Salkey enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children.
