Dr. Chaudary received an FSc degree from Bahria University, Pakistan, (1992), and graduated with a MD/MBBS degree from the Army Medical College, Pakistan, (1998). He completed a Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at West Virginia University, West Virginia (2005) and a residency in Internal Medicine at Marshall University, West Virginia, (2002). He was an Assistant Professor at West Virginia University (2006-2010) and an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida and Director of the Pulmonary Function Lab, in 2010. He joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine. He was an attending at the GV Montgomery Veterans Affairs Medical Center (2011-2013). He joined VCU in 2013, as an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Center. 

 

He is very active clinically and is known nationally and internationally for his skills and knowledge caring for CF patients. He has developed innovations for patient care and teaching of the adult CF patient that have been disseminated nationally for use at other CF centers.

 

He supervises and educates medical students and residents and created online educational modules and patient management algorithms for decision making. He moderated 8 national sessions and was a visiting professor in 3 institutions. He participates in national committees to develop educational programs including 5 guidelines.

 

Dr. Chaudary is a reviewer for six journals. He expanded the research bandwidth to promote patient study participation. He is the site PI for active clinical trials funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and industry. He serves as a consultant for 6 pharmaceutical companies and the National CF Foundation Adult Center Director group and Foundation Chapters.
