Ruth Bielke comes to nursing after prior years as an entrepreneur and business manager. Her interest in healthcare began early, but life’s detours led to divergent opportunities which allow her to bring a multifaceted approach to nursing and education. Her clinical background focuses on cardiovascular nursing with an emphasis on heart failure. She is working on research to trial the effectiveness of an Education Tool developed to assist nurses with teaching patients and families the cardinal elements of self-care for the heart failure population. She speaks on Living with Heart Failure and Nursing for the Substance Abuse Patient.

Her final career position at HCA was in the Organizational Development Department of CJW as a Nurse Educator. Taking a holistic approach to purposeful professional development, she facilitated education of clinical nursing skills as well as promoted resilience and mindfulness practices for the benefit of the healthcare staff. Ruth’s nursing journey continues as Adjunct Faculty at South University in their BSN Nursing Program and owner of Luminous, LLC, a nurse-centric education organization.
