Hind Jaber-Daou is the Nurse Coordinator for the Blood Reduction Program and the Transfusion Safety Officer at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU Health), a critical care/trauma nurse at the surgical intensive care unit at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, and a nursing faculty member at ECPI University. She holds 3 Master’s: Science in Nursing (MSN), Nursing Informatics, and Health Administration (MHA). She is currently working on her thesis for a Doctorate in Health Services. In addition to her nursing degrees, Hind holds an Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology. She earned several certifications to include: CCRN- Certified Critical Care Nurse, TCAR- Trauma Care after Resuscitation, and a certificate in The Advanced Concepts in Patient Blood Management.

Hind is a member of many professional organizations to include: the American Nurses Association and the Virginia Nurses Association, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and the Greater Richmond Area Chapter, the Society for the Advancement of Blood Management, the Honor Society of Nursing - Sigma Theta Tau International, and Golden Key International Honor Society.

Hind is a local, national, and international speaker in discoursing the risk of adverse events associated with blood transfusions and promoting the principles of blood management.
