Trang N. Le MD Biosketch

 

Dr. Le received her MD degree (2004) from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine - Pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University (2010), followed by a combined fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Endocrinology (2015). She joined VCU as an Assistant Professor (2015), with a primary appointment in Internal Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism, and a secondary appointment in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Endocrinology. She maintains board certification in General Internal Medicine, General Pediatrics, Adult Endocrinology, and Pediatric Endocrinology.

 

Dr. Le attends on the inpatient adult endocrinology consult service and staffs adult and pediatric general endocrine clinics. She is the lead endocrinologist for the VCU Remote Home Monitoring Program for patients with high-risk diabetes, and serves as Associate Director for Telemedicine. Specific interests in addition to telehealth include cystic-fibrosis related endocrinopathies and transition of patents with chronic endocrine conditions from pediatric to adult care. Her recognition for outstanding care by both colleagues and patients includes the Richmond Magazine Top Doc in Pediatric Endocrinology, designation as a VCUHealth Five Star Provider, and First Place Winner for Best Bedside Manner by OurHealth Magazine Richmond in Pediatric Endocrinology.
