Mack Drake, DO, FACS

Dr. Drake received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine. He later completed his internship at Vanderbilt University, general surgery residency at Virginia Tech-Carilion, and fellowship in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Kentucky. Dr Drake went on to complete burn surgery fellowship at Emory University. Dr Drake is board certified in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr Drake joined the faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2020 as Associate Medical Director of the Evans-Haynes Burn Center. In addition to burn outreach, prevention, and education, Dr Drake has ongoing research projects integrating burn, trauma, and surgical critical care.
