Trauma Program Manager, Bon Secours Mercy Health - Southside Medical Center



Finding her passion in Emergency Medicine for more than19 years, Tracey dove into the vast world of Trauma when she assumed the role of Trauma Program Manager at Southside Medical Center, a busy and acute Level III Trauma Center in Petersburg, Virginia. In her six years in this role, she has grown the Trauma Service through multiple education opportunities, growing EMS communication and feedback, and working with Level I partners to best take care of a growing need for Trauma care in the area.


Tracey attended John Tyler Community College School of Nursing and received her BSN through Western Governors University. She additionally earned her TCRN in 2019. Tracey’s passion for caring for the trauma patient flows over into her passion for educating the trauma staff and community. She serves on the Virginia State Trauma System Acute Care Committee.


Taking care of the little things has always been a healthy habit of Tracey’s and can be summed up with these words from former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, “If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop a habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception; it is a prevailing attitude.”
