Disclosures: Nothing to disclose - 12/14/2020

Siri Garrett is a senior certified child life specialist (CCLS) and the primary CCLS for the pediatric intensive care unit at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. After completing her Master’s in Child Development from Erikson Institute in Chicago, Siri moved to Richmond to join the CHoR child life team. She has had the pleasure of working with pediatric patients and their families at CHoR for over twelve years in a variety of settings and units over the years, including acute care inpatient pediatrics, the Evan Hayes Burn unit, the epilepsy monitoring unit, and the peri-operative unit. Always in the pursuit of gaining new ways to improve the pediatric patient and family experience, Siri became a certified educator of infant massage and a certified passenger safety technician and is an active member of the pediatric supportive care team and the pediatric pain control committee.

When not at the hospital, Siri enjoys spending time outside hiking, backpacking, and running with her husband, Matt, and they are looking forward to welcoming their first child this July.
