Clara Dutari has worked as an interpreter in the community, mental health, early childhood development and health care for over 12 years. She was born and raised in Argentina learning languages from an early age at bilingual schools, and she attended university to teach and translate English in Cordoba, Argentina following 4 years of architecture school. After getting married in June of 2000, she moved to New Haven, CT. Over the years, Clara dedicated her time raising 3 boys, volunteering in the community, working with Hispanic families and starting her career as a certified medical interpreter. Now in her 9th year at VCU, Clara is mainly focused on pediatric inpatient floors. She works along with teams of providers, nurses, social workers, and chaplains, etc. taking care of Spanish-speaking patients and their families.
