Ann Marie Nie, MSN, CNP, FNP-BC, CWOCN, PhD Candidate

Ann Marie Nie is a Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner who has worked in pediatrics for over 16 years. She has worked at two free-standing pediatric hospitals: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for approximately 10 years and Children’s Minnesota for 5 years. She was instrumental at both institutions in assisting in developing a robust pediatric pressure injury prevention program.


Ann Marie has multiple publications related to pediatric pressure injury prevention and wound care. In addition, she is a board member of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, and she was the lead for the Pediatric and Neonate sections of the 2019 Pressure Injury Prevention and Treatment International Guidelines. Currently, she is enrolled in a Nursing PhD program, and her dissertation is geared towards the differences in pediatric versus adult pressure injuries.
