Dr. Jill Cox is a Clinical Associate Professor at Rutgers University School of Nursing and maintains a clinical practice as a Wound, Ostomy, Continence Advanced Practice Nurse at Englewood Health in NJ. She is board-certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (Clinical Nurse Specialist) and is also board-certified as a Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse for over 25 years. She has been a member of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel (NPIAP) Board of Directors since 2018 and currently serves as the organizational Treasurer. She is a current member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the journal Advances in Skin and Wound Care, and she serves as the USA representative for the education committee for the World Council of Enterostomal Therapists. Dr. Cox is actively engaged in a published program of research focused on pressure injuries, with a specific focus on pressure injury risk in the adult critical care population. In 2020, she was inducted as a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing.
