Gregory Leghart, MD

Dr. Gregory Leghart is a graduate of Albany Medical School, Class of 1985. He served four years as a General Medical Officer of the US Navy before completing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at VCU in 1993.

He worked at Sheltering Arms Hospital in Richmond, Virginia for 28 years and served in various roles including medical director of brain injury, stroke program, and back-to-work programs. He was their Chief Medical Information officer.

Since July 2021, he has returned to VCU and works full time at the Sheltering Arms Institute, a partnership with VCU doing inpatient stroke rehabilitation.
