Zach Crump has served as an inpatient rehabilitation physical therapist for nearly 12 years at Sheltering Arms Rehabilitation and currently serves as the Locomotor Specialist at the Sheltering Arms Institute. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Old Dominion University in 2010 and became board-certified in neurologic physical therapy (NCS) in 2015. In 2021, he received the John L. Echternach Research Award from APTA-Virginia for his work as clinician scientist and knowledge broker. He has presented locally and nationally on knowledge translation initiatives that have included extra FES cycling for persons with acute stroke during inpatient rehabilitation and use of advanced rehabilitation technology to achieve walking recovery for persons with acute stroke. He lives with his wonderful wife and 4 amazing children in the east end of Richmond, VA.
