Olivia Lewis
Disclosures: Approved Exception

At the age of 21, and as a senior at Virginia Commonwealth University, Olivia Lewis experienced a massive brainstem stroke that led to Locked-In Syndrome. After almost 4 years of intensive rehabilitation and determination, she is currently picking up where she once left off. As of 2022, while still dealing with her continued recovery, she has completed her college degree and is focused on spreading hope, inspiration, and transparency to other survivors and caregivers. Currently, she is working towards starting her own foundation that targets young individuals who have also experienced stroke/locked-in syndrome. Along with this, she is writing a book, and speaking out about her journey in hopes to create knowledge and belief around young stroke and the possibilities surrounding rehabilitation and recovery.
