Dr. Ravi Vachhani has received his medical degree from BJ Medical College in India. He finished his Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology training from Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI. Subsequently, he was trained in advanced therapeutic endoscopy for another year. He joined VCU in 2008. Four years later, he took over the reins as Fellowship Program Director for Gastroenterology. In 2017, he was made Associate Professor. He area of interest include biliary and pancreatic disorders.
His awards and honors include the VCU School of medicine high evaluation award, Distinguished Junior clinician award, and Leadership in Graduate Medical education “Fellowship Director Award” in 2019.
