3/12-present, Trauma Program Manager, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. Provide oversight and direction for the development of a Level I Pediatric Trauma Program. Development of a Pediatric Performance Improvement Program, facilitate staff completion of educational requirements. Implementation of clinical performance protocols and guidelines. Active participant at the state and regional trauma system levels. Participated in development of state criteria for designation of pediatric trauma centers in Virginia. Fiscal responsibility for program and oversight of trauma registrar, PI coordinator, injury prevention coordinators and support assistant. In close collaboration with the Medical Director, have successfully achieved verification by the American College of Surgeons and the Commonwealth of Virginia of the Pediatric Trauma Center. Engagement in pediatric specific disaster preparations for the organization. Led organizational efforts to enhance staff resilience and promote trauma informed care.
9/12-5/13- Interim Trauma Program Manager, VCU Health System, Provided oversight and leadership for the Level I Trauma Center during a period of vacancy. Maintained program operations, performance improvement and ongoing requirements to assure maintenance of verification requirements.
