Dr. Taylor Crouch, PhD, is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry at VCU. She has clinical and research expertise in the intersection of chronic pain and addiction. Dr. Crouch obtained her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and completed a predoctoral internship in Behavioral Medicine at the Vanderbilt Consortium followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Crouch was recruited to join VCU in 2021 after spending 3 years on faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina. At VCU, she provides clinical services to individuals with chronic pain and comorbid mental and behavioral health challenges. Concurrently, she has an active research program focused on better understanding and intervening on the overlap of chronic pain and addiction, particularly reducing opioid-related risks. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters on behavioral interventions for chronic pain and addiction.
