Served as Director for Center for Trauma and Critical Care Education since 1990.  Interests include EMS education, Curriculum Development, Design, and Implementation.  EMS Provider since 1974 and one of the earliest paramedics certified in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Education includes healthcare education, EC coordination, Nationally Registered Paramedic, Registered Nurse with in interest in Emergency Nursing, Trauma Education and Resuscitation education.  Recipient of the first Rao Ivatury Award and the second recipient of the Fred Parker Award.  Numerous awards of recognition from academic institutions, Virginia Dept of Health, Office of EMS as well as regional EMS councils and EMS agencies.
