Date & Location
Monday, November 5, 2018, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Marriott Short Pump, Richmond, VA

Target Audience

This conference is designed for the licensed practical nurse and licensed vocational nurse who work in a variety of settings that wish to enhance their knowledge in the delivery of quality care in challenging patient circumstances. This is also for LPN students from around the Mid-Atlantic region who may be interested in the contents of this conference. This is a wonderful opportunity for networking with others from across the Mid-Atlantic region who share the same challenges and issues relative to LPN nursing.

It is critical for LPN’s and LVN’s to create a sense of purpose around the patient or consumer. Team members must be able to connect their actions to a consumer outcome or they will not be able to find meaning in their daily work.

  1. The learner will critically evaluate data and interpretations of Virginia’s Practical Nursing Workforce in application to the region’s future workforce needs.
  2. The learner will apply a sense of purpose in connection of the patient/client with various challenging needs, enabling them to link their actions to a consumer outcome, as well as finding meaning in their daily work.
  3. The learner will acquire a conceptual understanding of themselves and will establish an ability to speak up and communicate effectively in promoting a safe and professional environment.

Includes general sessions, program materials, CE Contact Hours certificate, continental breakfast, break refreshments, lunch, and parking.

Minimum and maximum numbers for attendance at this conference have been established, and we reserve the right to substitute speakers/topics, or cancel if necessary.
