1. Gain an understanding of the neurobiology of pain and commonalities with addiction.
2. Learn how to assess pain and function in patients with substance use disorder.
3. Recognize barriers to effective pain management in patients with substance use disorders.
4. Identify proper opioid selection for treatment of acute pain.
5. Identify non-opioid medication alternatives for use in a pain management treatment plan.

In order to receive continuing education credit, learners must watch the  recorded video, pass the post-test (4 questions, 75% required score, unlimited attempts), and complete an evaluation form.
