The Forum for Healthcare Learning and Excellence has been created to support the continuing education needs of all health care professionals and to promote a collaborative interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The Forum invites Jonathan Bartels to enhance and invigorate the health professionals of VCU Health Medical Center presentation: The Pause.

  1. Describe the fundamentals involved in the medical Pause
  2. Describe how implementing The Pause generates resiliency and improved safety as teams carry on to the next patient.
  3. Team members will become more aware of the benefits of The Pause for increased resiliency and reduced burnout and compassion fatigue.
  4. Team members will become equipped to lead The Pause after a patient death.
