The Odyssey Conference is designed to meet the learning needs of nurses involved in the care of acute and critically ill patients, empowering them to be "Unstoppable" in their endeavors to provide optimal care to patients and families. Key areas of focus for this event will include self-care and resiliency for nurses, sepsis treatment, innovative approaches to the management of Parkinson’s disease, and exploration of alternative options for pain management.

1. Utilize mindful approaches to self-care.
2. Apply evidence-based approaches to managing therapeutics with patients.
3. Demonstrate understanding of how inter-professional teams can effectively manage patients with Parkinson's disease.
4. Incorporate trauma-informed care into patient treatment plans.

In support of improving patient care, VCU Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

6.75 ANCC contact hours

 Certificates of participation for a maximum of 6.75 continuing education hours will be provided to attendees not eligible for ANCC credit.

 

Refund Policy

Registration fee, less a 15% non-refundable administrative fee, will be refunded only if written notice of cancellations is received via email to [email protected] on or before March 10, 2020. There will be no refunds after this date.
