This course is intended to be a prerequisite for all other courses of the ADEPT online training series for those who have not worked in the tactical medicine environment or who have not had previous formal training in TCCC or TECC.

1. List signs and symptoms used to diagnose hypocalcemia in the field
2. Identify proper treatment of hypocalcemia
3. Distinguish the differences of risked involved with treatment options in the prehospital environment
4. Summarize how calcium affects each part of the lethal triad

Method of Participation:

To successfully complete this activity, participants must:

• read the educational objectives and faculty disclosures below;
• access and watch the video content, and
• complete the post-activity reading and score at least 80% on the post-test assessment.

It is estimated that it will take approximately 2 hours to watch the video, complete the post-activity reading and post-test assessment.
