Overview

Join us for two days of innovative content on urgent care, primary care and developmental pediatrics with small group sessions that provide opportunities for interactive learning through case analysis and in-depth discussion.

This activity is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other health care professionals who deliver primary, emergency and developmental care to children and adolescents.

Objectives
  1. Identify evidence-based approaches to address the management of infections, post-transplant patients, substance abuse, food allergy, cough, concussions, diabetes, dermatology conditions, parenting issues, Down’s syndrome and mood disorders.
  2. Integrate research advances and clinical innovations with the delivery of pediatric oncology care, antibiotic coverage, asthma, food selectivity, and developmental screening in pediatric patients.
  3. Apply the discussions on controversies that surround areas of treatment of vaping, education deficiencies, inadequate housing, and menstrual abnormalities, and diagnosis in cough, asthma, food allergies, and development to the bedside/clinical discussions with patients and their guardians.
  4. Incorporate into practice new guidelines in concussions, protocols in antibiotic use and allergy testing, skills in ENT examinations, suturing, and point of care testing, and best practices for management of substance abuse, cerumen removal, electronic screening, and mood disorders.
