Overview

Registration is now closed. 

This activity is planned with the assumption that mass gatherings will be permitted by the activity date, with social distancing requirements and rigorous cleaning procedures needing to be followed. The number of available seats will be limited to ensure social distancing can be maintained during the activity. If possible, a live stream option will be provided to allow learners to receive the educational content without attending the activity in-person.We will continue to monitor guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, the Liver Transplant Program and VCU Health Continuing Medical Education are pleased to offer the 24th Annual Virginia Liver Symposium and Update in Gastroenterology in Richmond, Virginia at the Westin Hotel. The program is designed for primary care and sub-specialty physicians, and advanced practice providers who treat patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

  1. Discuss treatment strategies for the management of daily challenges in clinical gastroenterology.
  2. Review recent research advances and current literature of advances in treatment of chronic liver disease.
