Overview
Please join us in Virginia Beach for three half days of innovative content on urgent care, primary care and developmental pediatrics with plenary and small group sessions that provide opportunities for interactive learning through case analysis, models and in depth discussion.

Objectives
  1. Describe the assessment and treatment for hematuria and other abnormalities of a screening urinalysis.
  2. Identify the current guidelines for different foreign body ingestions and appropriate interim intervention and referral patterns.
  3. Explain the approach to the abnormal newborn screen including next steps and counseling of parents.
  4. Review AI opportunities in the practice setting and the incorporation of AI into EMR charting.
  5. Identify standardized methods to quantify chest wall deformities and determine the referral criteria for patients who require surgical evaluation.
  6. Describe the patient population and the clinical characteristics of patients who benefit from engagement in feeding clinic.
  7. Review the current state of the art treatment of atopic dermatitis and contact dermatitis including prevention and intervention.

Refund requests must be received 14 calendar days prior to the program start date. A $30 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. Requests should be sent by email to [email protected]. The Director, Continuing Education will attempt to resolve the complaint within the first contact, when possible, and will respond to the client and customer's concerns within 5 business days of the initial complaint. If the complaint is still unresolved after communication with the Director, Continuing Education, or if the initial complaint is not addressed in a timely manner, the complainant may contact the President & CEO, UHS-PEP. The President & CEO will then contact the complainant and endeavor to resolve the complaint within 10 business days after being contacted.

The complaint log will be regularly reviewed to identify areas of operations and service that may require improvement. The Director, Continuing Education will research reoccurring complaint matters and recommend process and procedure changes, when appropriate. These changes will be noted on the Complaint Resolution Log, and any necessary policy and/or procedure updates will be made within 15 business days thereafter.
